About
Nanette Lai has relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis and is an accredited force-free pet dog training instructor aiming to create accessible online pet dog training content. Her goal is to help other MS patients realize that they can play games with their own pet dogs to have incredible manners, such as walking on a loose lead with a mobility device. Ms. Lai achieved PhD candidacy in Epidemiology from the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph, and received her Master's in Biomedical Anthropology from the University of Toronto were her research focused on brucellosis. In her spare time, Nanette spends time working as a veterinary professional with dogs and cats. One thing she would love to do more of would be riding horses, if not for MS fatigue. She loves thinking of simple, accessible methods to integrate non-human animals into life with MS.
